Summit 2023
Re-shape the Commercial Aviation Industry Post-COVID
About Korea Aero Summit
We cordially invite you to join us for 1st Korea Aero Summit (KAS) scheduled in 2022 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. KAS 2022, a two-day event, will serve as a platform where all the stakeholders in commercial aviation could connect, network and discuss the current and the future of the Korean air travel industry. The theme of this year’s event is: Re-shape the Commercial Aviation Industry in Korea Post-COVID.
The world aviation industry is recovering gradually from the aftermath of COVID, as many countries have been transiting smoothly from pandemic to endemic new normal. When it comes to South Korea, on March 31, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) promoted a “phase-by-phase” recovery plan to restore the scale of international flights to 50% of their 2019 level by the end of 2022.
2022 will see the international air traffic catching up much faster as the country has further eased restrictions, effective on 8 June that all travelers are exempt from quarantine and the curfew on flights landing at Incheon International Airport was fully lifted. The number of international travelers spiked to 1.28 million in June, surging 420 percent year-on-year.
Along with the recovery of the aviation industry, there have been calls for the expansion of route networks, restoring stored aircraft to service, nurturing MRO industry for Korean carriers, better air travel experiences, and the fostering of aviation personnel, etc. KAS 2022 is an opportune event to discuss these trending topics and identify opportunities for your business growth!
